The purple poppy

I wear a purple poppy along with the red to remember all those innocent unknowing animals killed in combat .

There is a wonderful sculpture standing in Ascot ( on the roundabout near the racecourse ) commemorating the horses who died in combat .

We wear the purple ones as well, I see more people each year wearing purple.

I think it's a lovely idea Muddy, I always buy a red poppy.

We have had the same poppy seller in our Sainsbury's for more than 10 years and I have never seen a purple poppy on this table. Where do you get you purple one from?

There must have been a horrendous number of dutiful horses killed in the wars.
