Inevitably, Ms Onasanya will contest any accusations of "failure" .....
And then play the race card.

Pity they let her out a third of the way through her jail sentence.

An MP who was jailed for lying about a speeding offence is to face a tribunal to determine if she is fit to practise as a solicitor.

She is accused of "failing to act with integrity" and has been referred to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority said Ms Onasanya was also accused of failing to uphold the proper administration of justice and failing to behave in a way that maintains the trust the public places in the provision of legal services.

A recall petition has been launched to decide whether Ms Onasanya can continue sitting as an MP.

Re: Fiona Onasanya

It's unfair that the Onasanya woman got banged up yet the lying war criminal Blair continues to walk the earth unhindered.

Apologies for posting again in error, that's the problem with living somewhere rural 'out in the sticks' – things are a little slow at times, including the news and myself!

I did check first, honest – must visit Specsavers!

Disgraced MP makes Commons speech

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-48046784
Fiona Onasanya took part in an opposition debate on local government and social care funding.

Ms Onasanya, who last spoke to MPs in the House in December, is currently the subject of a recall petition in Peterborough.

During her two-minute speech, Ms Onasanya questioned the government's claim that austerity was ending, and spoke about the impact cuts have had on Peterborough City Council.

"We were told last year by both the prime minister and the chancellor that austerity is over," she said. "I beg to differ because austerity is alive and well in Peterborough."

"Warm words that austerity is over will not cut it," she added.
Will Ms Onasanya's two-minute speech "cut it" with Peterborough's electorate .....

Disgraced MP Fiona Onasanya awaits result of removal petition

https://www.theguardian.com/politics...moval-petition

Fiona Onasanya, the MP facing a recall petition after lying about a speeding ticket, is expected to learn by Thursday morning whether her electorate has kicked her out of parliament.

Council officials hope an announcement on the petition will be made on Wednesday night, but this can only happen once constituents’ signatures have been counted and the Speaker, John Bercow, has been informed of the result.

Bercow is expected to be in the House of Commons until around 8pm, when an Opposition day debate is expected to end. If the count goes beyond the end of the debate, a result may be released on Thursday or Friday.

Any byelection would have to be held between 21 and 27 working days of it being triggered, meaning it would most likely take place two or three weeks after the anticipated European elections on 23 May.

Labour, as Onasanya’s former party, would trigger the process by moving a motion in parliament. Onasanya, 35, could in theory stand in a byelection, but friends have told the Guardian this is unlikely.
So, we may have to wait until tomorrow ......
