I bought a thick coat several months ago, for dog walking, and it still doesn’t hold off the coldest of cold winds! However, it has been good for the rain. I have a Pets at Home shoulder bag that holds my poop scoop and doggy bags, and that goes under my coat (with torch also tucked inside for the darker hours), reading glasses in one pocket, mobile in t’other, and we’re good to go. I then have free hands for holding the lead, and to pull my hood to keep over my head when it blows a hoolie.

Doesn’t make me enjoy it all the more, though! It’s been perishing these past few days. And saying that, off out again shortly. (And most probably in the night too.)

Sunny so far, but a damn cold wind again.

Miserable here, cold and wet.
Daughter asked me to follow her driving to the garage to get her car fixed. Her 4x4 was going steadily through the floods, my little car just about managed.
We left her car, tried a different route back and came upon a lake blocking a narrow lane, had to reverse a long way to get back on the original road.
Whenever we go to that garage the weather is terrible, the area it is in seems to be prone to mists and floods! It's the best garage around unfortunately.

After some drizzly rain earlier, the afternoon has improved with a few sunny spells.
