With a well loved record you can always hear the next track in your head before it starts

Re: The greatest Beatles song

Phil Spector brought in a 30 something piece orchestra for this Harrison masterpiece. Lennon had, by then, left the band.

not sure this remastered version is the best youtube has to offer.

The very best one?

As with Bob Dylan, far too many great ones to pick just one.

Pick any number then, but put them in order.

Re: The greatest Beatles song

Unfortunately my Beatles Top 100 list is missing from my music files (the forum breathes a sigh of relief!) and I don't have time to do another one, so never mind.

However I'm going to post the song 'Rain' (b-side of 'Paperback Writer') which is probably my second favourite Beatles track. Ringo's drumming is particularly brilliant on this.
I've mentioned before that this song contains everything Noel Gallagher ever stole for Oasis' entire 15 years in one three minute unsung classic. Listen to John Lennon on this and fast forward to imagine Liam Gallagher singing it.

Sorry for the waffle, but I've always preferred to add a little bit of text when I post videos to say why I pick a particular song, rather than blindly throw on videos with no explanation why I've posted them. Just my thing
