Mums make Porn.

Hi

Anyone else watching this?

Compulsory viewing in Hospital.

It is very relevant, so many youngsters getting it on their mobiles.

Sex is a big deal for them, they are curious, but not often portrayed well as women being equals.

There is a very mild mannered and looking Mum who takes it all in her stride and just wants good Porn to be respectful of women.

Compulsory viewing and she is so, so, good at explaining things.

A breath of fresh air.

She is the most unlikely looking lady you could ever imagine watching Porn, but takes it all in her stride as a fact of life.

Afraid I can't agree with you about that being compulsory viewing Swim.
I saw a bit of the first episode, but it wasn't for me.
I am not into Porn.

You don't have to be into it, Mups, to know that most porn, especially the kind of stuff watched by teen boys, is misogynistic and portrays women as sex objects.
Good for these mums, they've got the right idea, but I bet their kids are cringing

P.S. there's even a rape video game, now that is evil.

Well I agree with the bit about their kids cringing.

No. Tis true.

I have got my own ideas on this sort of thing though.

Whether the programme is supposed to help people see women are not just sex objects or not doesn't work for me.

Firstly, I'm a bit of an old fart you see and like to think of sex meaning something special between two people who care for each other, which isn't what Porn is about at all.

Secondly, I am also not into voyeurism.
So what others get up to is their business only.
That is why I disagreed with Swim saying he thought it "Compulsory Viewing."

Doesn't bother me if others enjoy porn though, I won't be doing a Mary Whitehouse.

I have not seen the programme so can't comment too much but I don't understand how Mum's making porn makes it more acceptable. Surely many porn stars are mums anyway?

Re: Mums make Porn.

I didn't see the programme, so I might be misguided here, but firstly, why is it considered "compulsory viewing for hospitals?" What's so special about hospital patients, or am I missing something? Secondly, how can so-called good porn be respectful of women? I checked the definition of the word and got -

"television programmes, magazines, books, etc. that are regarded as emphasising the sensuous or sensational aspects of a non-sexual subject and stimulating a compulsive interest in their audience." Just what someone who's ill and bed-bound needs, apparently. Forget medication, rest and care, bring on the naked writhing bodies.

As for "good" porn, there's no such thing by definition. Porn is porn, loving sex is something else. There's a place for
both.

And finally, do kids really want to see their parents doing this? I can't help thinking it's yet another case of female exhibitionism masquerading as something both worthy and necessary.

Bet there weren't any "fluffers" on this programme.
