Warning for Firefox Users.

If this apparent Firefox update appears - DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT.

It has taken 5 hours to remove the infestation from my system. The virus attacks the boot sector, file structure and memory.

Some orrible sods around eh. Everyday I have to block hackers from my websites. Takes me around half an hour to work through the logs looking for suspicious activity. Absolute pain.

Hi Marki I read about something similar about a year back and wonder if this is the same one.

Its a nightmare isn't it when you pick up something like that. I don't use FF but managed to download rogue toolbars when updating Chrome and they took time and trouble to remove.

AdwCleaner is great for removing rogue toolbars. Its a stand alone bit of kit and doesn't install to the program file folder. Simply download to your desktop and run.
