This might explain TM's incompetence

The scumbag 'nasty party' have not had sufficient numbers of trained negotiators throughout the entire period of 'Brexit'.

To be fair I think swim pointed this out prior to the referendum. Not being funny but if he knew why didn't TM do something about that ?

It is not only the training, it is also the experience. The UK lacks 40 years of experience compared to the EU. That is an impression of how long it takes before the UK can negotiate deals just as profitable as the present EU deals you share till december 2020.

Okay Solasche, you may feel the EU has the upper hand on negotiations and I would not disagree with you with regard to Brexit. It has been a disaster. The EU have held all the cards for the past 40 years and more..

However, as much as you seem to put down the capability of this country to be able to make its own deals once we are out, I truly believe you are going to end up with egg on your face. One thing the UK has always been renowned the world over for, is its highest quality goods and services, fairness and honesty when it comes to dealing with all other countries. 40 years of EU rule will never change that.
I only hope we are given the opportunity to put that negotiating skills to good use again once we are free.

Above all, I trust the british people's common sense. Months ago I vented my confidence in solving this situation. There will be no brexit.

Certainly not the Brexit we expected, but let's face it. since the day of the Referendum result, we that voted to leave have had bucketloads of S..T aimed at us, it's divided the country, shown up the political elite in their true colours, Democracy has been spat on, and the feeling of most Leavers I would imagine, is that what is taking place at the moment with this country, is the complete surrender (albeit peaceful) of our national identity and sovereignty to the EU, led by Germany and the monkey on it's shoulder, France.

One may well say, forget the war years, that's the past. But to a country that has always thought independently for itself, it has never fitted comfortably with the rest of Europe, the mere thought of being ruled over by a country that we defeated and a country that we helped save, is bile in the throats of Leavers.

I will never in my lifetime ever accept being ruled by those that we did not vote into office. You will no doubt argue that they were put in by our representatives. Very convenient but not in the hearts of Leavers. We were sold down the river over 40 years ago with traitorous moves and by our own establishment.

Back to the present, We won the vote, we rightly want that vote to be carried out in the way we were asked, Do you want to Remain or Do you want to Leave?, There was nothing mentioned about Deals and Backstops. We should have just walked and taken our chances. We have faced much worse in this country's history. Instead it has come to this- traitorous actions and backroom deals by both - The UK establishment and the EU masters.

I am just waiting now for the 11th December to see what happens next, but never underestimate this tough little country Solasche, as I say, egg on your face!

but they were in existence. Your politicians could and should have known that. It was their responsibilty to know. However much you hate to hear, but leavers were lied to. And they didn't inform themselves, as they could have

We should have just walked and taken our chances. it would have been illegal. Brits don't go for that. It would have destroyed you credentials in the world trade community
We have faced much worse in this country's history. your country has.
Your parents have. Your-our children are spoiled by easy living

You are wrong Solasch, Unlike EU countries who refuse to give the territories the opportunity to be independent, we in Britain have given three. Scotland, Gibraltar and the Falklands, the opportunity to choose their own destiny. In all three, they voted overwhelmingly to remain as part of
the United Kingdom.

This is why I find Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP unbelievable. They use the excuse of Scottish Fishermen to bolster their reason for voting down Theresa May's traitorous Brexit deal in the hope of eventually getting another chance of independence, but once they have that, they want the right to join the EU as an independent nation and thereby losing any fishing rights they may have!! I just cannot get my head around that reasoning.

95% of citizens of gibraltar want to remain in the EU. After 400 years of oppression, you won't give them their freedom?

Perhaps you should try to understand the scots. They are a clever people, and very good at economics.

Re: This might explain TM's incompetence

Now you are talking S**te Solasch yes Gib voted to stay in the EU but also they do not want to be part of Spain they want to be part of Britain and so they accept the vote

Look what happened again in WW2 Spain was "Neutral" German really so the people of Gib decamped to the UK and suffered the blitz instead of staying where they were

So as far as they are concerned they are part of the UK the only reason Gib is on the Spanish radar is they have an election and and some of the politicians are up on corruption charges for a few million so they are try to get people to think of something else
