Re: Rage

I always think women are at a bit of a disadvantage really as our hormone fluctuations can be the start of many emotions we have little control over.
I also think from pure frustration women can become rather bad tempered as they age. It isn't easy living with men

Re: Rage

Things have changed in recent years, women are far more aggressive. There is a difference though with aggression tendancies and just seeing red due to circumstances that build up to an eruption.
We - both men and women have a lot to cope with, its a stressful life.

Re: Rage

I try to be easy going, but does any one else find that life itself makes them angry. What I mean is

From people being rude ie blocking your parking space so that you cannot get off your own drive. It is usually people visiting other houses in the area. When out shopping people blocking aisles so that you cannot get past or just leaving their trolley in the middle of the aisle.

These things niggle at me so that when I do get angry it is usually at some one who has not done that much.

I usually put it down to hormones, as mine are all over the place.

Re: Rage

I have questioned my own behavior lately. Not red mist territory like yours but awful impatience and manner with people, especially people concerned with my work. Backfiring on me somewhat as they control the flow of it all.

A rage out of the blue for no apparent reason? Well if is wasn't physically induced, as in a chemical imbalance or something, there must be a reason for it. Why not take time out and do some intense self-reflection, as I have done.

I know what you mean I do try not to let the everyday annoyances get to me, meditation helps I find.

Just a thought but could 'rage' be triggered by HRT perhaps???

Re: Rage

I do sit there sometimes, whether it is on the bus, on a park bench or even at home Julie and just close my eyes and let the everyday noises just float on passed me. Just to get myself into a peaceful place.

Hormone replacement therapy ? I am not sure UJ I don't use it myself as it isn't recommended for breast cancer survivors.

Ok, fair enough, but could that be the reason for the original OP???
