Re: Your very first car.
I'd just passed my test and OH went to the showroom bought home a brochure and said let them know what colour you want the rest is sorted...Re: Your very first car.
Mk1 1100cc Escort (1971 vintage), bought off the Milkman's daughter to pass my test in, beige in colour, very reliable, with a silky smooth gear change, sold it to a family member, and bought my first of many knackers, with knacker Lacquer paint jobs, and Wide Wheels.Re: Your very first car.
My first car was a 1959 apple green Morris Oxford. It was 10 years old when I bought it for £50 in 1969. Huge beast with a very convenient leather bench seat in the front. It was so tough that it survived a collision with an articulated lorry with only a broken headlamp glass and a scratched headlight trim.Re: Your very first car.
Honda N600 not many made, bright yellow. I bought it with help from my nan but I was so proud when I paid her back over the following months. I used to drive her all over the place, we went to aldershot for her favourite sausages, by time we got home she would have gone off them but we were desperate to tempt her appetite drove to Basingstoke when we heard they had the first strawberries of the season in just so she could sit and smell them.
