It is a nightmare.

I was discharged from Stoke into the care of the Cardiac Rehab Team at Shrewsbury on August 4th.

They are supposed to take over care of Heart Attack Patients straight away

I have been trying to get the necessary treatment since then,

I have rung them direct on the number given by Stoke.

They said sorry, no referral received.

Rang Stoke, yes we have, we will send another.

Thursday afternoon I got a letter, my post comes late.

From Shrewsbury with a patient reference number saying a referral had been made and would be addressed in due course, but not before September.

The letter was dated 6th August.

The number given was engaged all afternoon.

Got through yesterday morning,

It had been sent to the wrong place, a simple Cardiology referral,

Managed to get through to a Manager, who said it would be dealt with immediately.

It hasn't been.

So much for our world class NHS.
How long has this Shrewsbury farce been going on?

It has been public knowledge for months now, if not years.

How can those incompetents who are responsible continue to get away with things? Why haven't they all been sacked and replaced by people who can do the job?

I'm glad I don't live there, but that doesn't help those who do.
