I think they can go hand in hand but perhaps in a negative way. A Philosopher spends much time and places more importance on matters of the mind. For that reason, the body may not be so well looked after as regards fitness an physicality.

However, I probably need to spend more time thinking about this.

I think the answer to a) is yes, possibly and to b) no. Therefore, imo, they do not go hand in hand.
Question b) is a nonsensical question because I suspect philosophy does not have any physicality - or does it?

It's an exercise of the mind, like... in my brain hurts, when you think too much.
