Funnily enough Pesta, I thought of that at the time of writing it and went straight to YouTube to play the song. I like it as much now as when it was first released.

When your computer is switched off, it is off. Microsoft does collect data on the way you use your computer though and many take measures to stop it. I don't because I think any data collected about my computer usage just goes into a huge analytical database along with the data from billions of other W.10 users. In other words, my individuality isn't important to MS. I just form part of a statistic and I don't care about that.

There are others who would argue that those points but I've let the telemetry happen since W.10 came out in 2015 to no detriment that I can detect. I tend to agree with this article but of course there are others to counteract it:
