Re: Bathroom light, help please.

Have you thought of battery operated lights? I know you can get them for camping and strings of bulbs for decoration, you might be able to get one to solve your problem, no installation required.

Be careful Cassie ...bathrooms have special rules due to their nature even if you have a over bath shower that can effect the type of light you can fit the one you have sounds a bit iffy ....most outlets ie B&Q home base etc will keep them and they should have on the box whether they are suitable for bathrooms / showers..I think your best option is a low voltage recessed fittings ..i know you dont want it but you will get much better light as most of the inclosed types will probably be around 40 watts max ..maybe 60 if you are lucky ...i have put this link on so you can see the complexity of the regs ...even i get lost with them sometimes

Re: Bathroom light, help please.

Bathrooms are not my Fav thing at the moment...last Thursday morning I got up went to the toilet and the handle came off in my hand,I called Joe and he said he would look at it, there were shouts from the bathroom and the Ball cock had also fallen off, we had to turn the water off, then realised the heating was on so that went off as well, I left Joe to it and had a cuppaOh God he said(He had turned the water back on and there it was meeting me in the Hall. We took the carpet up in the bathroom and the hall carpet, I was in tears. Anyway after a while we rang the insurance company and they brought us a new toilet, at the moment we are waiting for them to come to see the carpets.I think its the 13 in the year thats to blame!!!
