Jim, it isn't unusual to get this kind of pain when you lose someone. It builds until you feel your insides are being torn apart and you won't be able to stand it any longer .

Just try to bear it, over the days you will be able to cope with it better though the pain will never leave you.

Try to eat regular meals and get some rest even if you can't sleep.
Remember you friends here are thinking of you and sharing your sadness...
