Shirley Valentine.

Watched it again this afternoon.Can't believe it was released in 1989.Lovely to see the Greek sunshine.

She goes to the airport with her friend and walks out of departure lounge returning to the taverna to get a job. Film ended with her sitting at table by seashore waiting for her husband, who fails to recognize her until she removes her sunglasses and invites him to join her and have a drink, after making it clear she intends to stay.
