The man was running in the gutter of the road as fast as he could.
He ran towards the top of the road where there was a traffic warden circling a white car.
As l crossed the road, the man had reached his car and you could see he was conversing with the traffic warden.
I carried on walking down the road and as l approached the traffic lights, l saw him coming to a halt as the lights were on red.
Feeling cheeky, l went up to his passenger side window and shouted,
‘Did you get away with it?’
‘Yes’, he replied. ‘I was delivering something to one of the businesses and l had driven round and round but there was nowhere to park and then l saw that space and quickly parked up’.
I said, ‘That was lucky you didn’t get a ticket’.
‘Yes’ he replied and gave a me a beaming smile.
The lights changed and he drove off!

I’m so glad l kept my old Monopoly game as there’s loadsa money in there!!
