Paula it was the same here today. Had my chair out and kept moving it from the sun to the shade. Sat here with the sliding door in the living room open for air.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Good Morning Each,My days have changed as I'm up doing what needs to be done inside & out when it's cool between 5-9am in the morning, then again between 7-9 in the evening, the rest of the day I'm indoors hiding from the heat...20/22c is perfect for Me but 26/28c is just too much,

I see A&E at the local Hospitals are overcrowded with Folks suffering from heatstroke/sunburn/insect bites etc'...madness..People packed like sardines into trains leaving the Towns & Cities to go to the beaches..more madness,

Stay safe Lassies...it won't be too long until We get pouring rain again

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Morning, May that's what I've been doing since last week. I'm sure I had a touch of heatstroke last week when I did sit out for a while. I'm out with the dog first thing now and garden. Watering ect. Am at Tesco before 8am and my pool time is now 11.30am. Several empty shelves in Tesco yesterday so I'm heading over to Wick shortly to do a big stock up. Wonder if things will be rationed again IE toilet rolls. Am so fed up of this carry on and as usual Dear Doris is on the dither and making it all worse.. Bloody man.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Morning everyone. Think we are all at the same game, May. I like to be finished by 11am in this heat. Don’t do noisy cleaning like hoovering til after 9 as I live in a semi and the walls are thin. So quiet cleaning til 9 then get the vacuum out.
Haven’t noticed the supermarket shelves being empty as I did an online shop which is coming tomorrow. Might be disappointed then!
My son wants spag Bol for dinner. Will do it as he hasn’t been eating much since He had Covid. Too hot for me, I will have a cold meat salad and freeze the rest.
Have a good one all,

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Good afternoon ladies. Roxy I noticed that we have a lot of empty shelfs here in the supermarkets. I've been taking it easy as I don't want burned or anything else. Just vacuumed the stairs now to tackle the bathrooms, then make some lunch.

Hi

I am not Scottish, but love the place and the people.

I am not rich English, but love the fishing and the people.

I also do not mind having the jokes because of my inability to catch fish

Huddersfield is a very good training ground.

I can cope with Glasgow
