Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Yes, I was looking to see what they would be doing tonight in the Sewing Bee. Sleep sets? Baby doll pjs? Those were the days.

I've just realised that my little laundry cart was starting to fall to pieces so have embarked on a remake in some fabric that I have. Not as simple as I first thought - this may be a project too far.

Had a video chat with Rob's girlfriend today - he sat there with a big grin on his face though I couldn't persuade him to look in the right direction.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Suddenly got a lot cooler here, rain on the way I think. We certainly need it.

Did some more sewing this morning, think the laundry cart liner will be OK. I have four, I think, baby grey squirrels galloping around the garden and doing acrobatics on the fence. They are lovely to watch, but I'm afraid of them getting into the loft (happened once before) so made need to call on the grandson with the air rifle!

Sorry Jac (about the air rifle I mean). I know they are pretty to look at but they do such a lot of damage if they get in the house (and they have done before now). Don't worry too much - I don't suppose it will happen.

Has been blowing a hooley here all day. Haven't put my nose out of the door.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Tried to put a wet towel on the line this morning, but the blessed line stretched again and dumped the towel on the floor (and the clothes prop) - so windy and pretty chilly - so the towel is now hanging in front of the Aga. Looking forward to scampi and chips this evening.
