Jehovah's Witnesses

Are there JW in the UK? and do they come and knock on your doors to talk about the BIBLE like they do here in the USA? They also give out the WATCTOWER and AWAKE Publications here in the USA do they also do that in the UK?

Yes matey, we get 'em here too - but since I'm an atheist - they get short shrift from me - my 'bible' comes in three volumes - Das Capital - by Karl Marx.

Yes they do Teddy, I have found them to be genial and helpful and vary rarely 'mention' the bible. They seem fine to me .......

Yes as Patsy says we do have them and they seem nice enough people who when they know you have your own beliefs will happily leave you be, always polite and considering what some people say to them that is an amazing feat in it's self !

We have them here, too, and I agree with Julie and Patsy that they are generally pleasant enough. But I object to people of ANY religion cold-calling. Come to think of it, I object to cold-calling full stop.

Ah but do you great them politely and chat nicely UJ or are you threatening to stick your stick where they won't like it ? I find treat people nicely and usually you get that back even give Noreen a cuppa as she has trouble climbing our stairs and needs a sit when she makes it up here !
