No it would not. It would be down to the offender.

I disagree...it would be down to the judicial system. I do not agree with the death sentence but I do agree with stiffer sentences and life should mean life.

People who commit murder should not be back in society after 10 or 12 years....that's not an appropriate punishment.

Re: Does being a good human being matter to you?

Yes being a good human being matters. And that's why I need to apologize to all and sundry here for my psychotic episodes the last time I visited .
Don't worry. I wont be staying. I don't quite fit in here but such is my unstable mental health I need to move on. I really lost it on another forum so if anyone is reading this post from there, sincerely apologize. Don't take it personally. ive learnt one thing on the net. Don't take anything personally. When people misbehave and insult, they are hurting inside. just like I was. We are all screwed up. sorry that might annoy some of you but its true. Just some are better at hiding it.
take care

Hey, Precious. Don't disappear. I'm sure most will be understanding, those who aren't ... well, they're not important enough to judge.

Nothing to be ashamed of, put it behind you and join in with everyone.
Welcome back.

Re: Does being a good human being matter to you?

Yes of course it matters but it depends on what is meant by the word "good". In what way and how good to be need to be?

If bashing the bible is a definition of being "good" then I don't, so I'm not.
If looking after my family, managing a house, watching my health and diet, being mates with long-time friends, being kind to animals and couteous to people in general then I'm good.

Thanks a bunch, Precious!

If you don't wish to mix with Brits, why join a mostly British forum?
