Instant coffee..

A while ago I went on a spree testing all instant coffees, as I wasn't happy with the one I was using.
After testing every instant coffee on the supermarket shelves I came up with Kenko blue top as my personal favourite.

If you use instant coffee, what's your favourite?

Re: Instant coffee..

I try all different ones and always go back to the Nescafe Original.

The Nescafe Alta Rica Decaf is good too.

Re: Instant coffee..

I don't drink instant coffee at home , I don't think it tastes of coffee. I have a little plastic filter ...

...and use it with filter papers and Kenyan ground filter coffee

Re: Instant coffee..

If I have to use instant I will use Kenco Millicano but that is only if I don't have access to a filter machine or percolator.

Re: Instant coffee..

If I want a quick cup of coffee I'll have instant even though I don't think of it as proper coffee. I usually buy Tchibo Family.
Proper coffee for me is Italian made in my espresso machine.

Kenko Red and Blue. I've got both and drink one or the other depending on mood.
Occasionally I grind some beans for my filter. At the moment I've got Kenyan beans

Re: Instant coffee..

For inferior instant I have Douwe Egberts Pure Gold, but mixed with a decaff, so I have a half caff (used to be able to buy that!). Or, I sometimes have Instinct Carte Noir wholebean instant, for the occasional treat.

I normally have 3-4 cups of tea a day, with probably 2 cups of coffee. Try to stop caffeine intake early afternoon so later in evening if really thirsty I will have a decaff tea. (Soz, slightly off top.)
