Re: National Service

I would have missed National Service because I worked
in the Pits, but I volunteered anyway.

I got a great education in the RAF and came out a better person.

So I am all for National Service, Great Britain is one of the very
few modern Countries that don't have it any more.

Re: National Service

But what kind of `National Service`?-not the armed forces as they are/should be highly trained professionals. Would you want a grunt doing time next to you in a fire fight?

Cleaning the streets?-imagine the uproar from those employed to do it.

It`s just a dream going back 50 odd years. Send them all to India is my answer-they might not be that articulate but it has to be an improvement on some call centres I have had to call
