Would you live here?

http://www.metro.co.uk/news/834110-v...n-30-years-ago

Would you live in a `retirement village` where you weren`t allowed to hang out washing and your grandchildren could only visit at certain times?
I wouldn`t! I can`t imagine anything worse than a load of local busybodies telling me how to live.
Peaceful maybe - but as Shakespeare put it
`the grave`s a fine and private place
But none I think do there embrace.`
Too peaceful for me, I think!

I wouldn`t but each to their own I guess. And where did they get the idea it was like Britain 30 years ago???-that was 1980. I don`t recall it being a haven of tranquility as Thatcher got to work

Re: Would you live here?

I would actually Obviously I don't have grand kids but could visit family whenever I wanted to - but always be able to retreat back to peace and quiet.

What a great idea!

Not I. I'd not like being surrounded by just my age group and being told what I could or could not do.

Yes Yes yes. No horrible kids constantly outside, No teenagers breaking bottles outside your house and swearing and shouting till the early hours every night. Bliss.
I could visit my grandkids as normal which is what i do now anyway.

Sounds good to me but I don't think they would put up with our yappy dog.

They were talking about this place on GMTV this morning.

I like the idea of limited kids but wouldn't want to live without my dogs. I don't quite understand why they don't like bees though.

I don't like rules much either, on balance it's not for me.

When I get really old and a bit frail then yes I would... I'd feel safe there.
