The burn on her thigh was from ironing her trousers.

Re: Please, ‘Don’t Call Me Scarface’!

I have a 2"scar on my cheek. It's low down, near my jaw bone.

I got it when I was a toddler. Apparently I was pushing a toy wheelbarrow up my grandma's garden path when I bumped into their dog. The dog jumped on me & clawed my face.

Way back then in the 1940's they didn't call the doctor but rushed me to the chemist instead, where they lay me down & tried to stitch my face up.

Apparently I was screaming so much they couldn't do the stitching so it was left to heal on it's own - hence the scar.

I have a quite noticeable scar on the side of my nose which was caused by a Xylophone (I kid you not). I tripped up and fell on one when I was a child. Luckily because I've had it since I was young I've never been self conscious about it. I'm still the only person I know who has been scarred for life by a musical instrument!

I had an incident with a trumpet but best keep that to myself.
