Oh Lordy - we are back to the Maths class again.
OK - here goes - one sack = 1040 tea bags. Each cup holds half a pint so that's 520 pints. One gallon = 8 pints (yes?) so 65 gallons x 2 because I have used two sacks so far - not started the third yet. !hat comes to 130 gallons!!??

EEeek - that can't be right - I think I am going to faint!

We are on Day 106 of 2020 so this year, so far, you have drunk, based on your calculations, 10 cups per day, which, IMO, is not excessive, unless you include full-cream milk and teaspoons of sugar.

That's always s'posing my calculations were right in the first place!
To be entirely accurate, you could measure the exact capacity of your cup/mug - some of my mugs are nearer 1/4 litre than 1/2 pint.

In that case, your consumption comes down to 520 litres/114 gallons (if my calculations are correct ..... )

The big cups I use when on my own are definitely half pinters, Omah. Which ever way you look at it - that is a heck of a lot of tea! Especially as that is not all I drink. Usually have few pints of water as well.

Hey Tabs, it seems all this tea might be better for you than they used to think.
Have a look at this from the NHS. It seems it can be protecting your heart - so drink up gal.

Well, it makes you wonder what you should believe these days.

I drink only tea. Coffee makes me feel like, l don’t want to live anymore! If l drank it at night, l wouldn't sleep.

The other day, l was telling my daughter on the phone that in hot weather, l preferred to drink tea to quench my thirst.
She said, ‘You shouldn’t drink tea, it interferes with your body’s iron absorption’!
