Someone is rich

Someone in Britain has won £84million on the Euro lottery last night.

Is this too much?

Re: Someone is rich

Yes - they will never be able to spend that amount in their lifetime! They should share it out amongst us OFFers What would you do with that amount of money, I wonder

I still think there should be more money for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place!

Lucky Brits though and guid luck to them

Of course it's too much. Personally, I'd like to see it capped at 100k and more prizewinners... it's got out of hand IMO, and the Lotto people are encouraging more punts by bringing out either more games or running current ones more often - it's a racket!

That is a lot of money. It should be shared out more amongst the winners.

I only do the lottery when there is a rollover, I won £10 last week, lost it again on Wednesday though.

Re: Someone is rich

I also won last night £6.50 so yes I agree that there should be more larger prizes. I went into B&Q on Wednesday and the lady at first refused to take my 10% card (over sixty) as she LISTEN TO THIS 'didn't think I looked old enough to have one' so I blessed her and told her that she would win the lottery this week so it was my fault all I can say is better luck tomorrow or next week.

Amazing amount of money isn't it?
Maybe £1million tops prize, and many more of them, would be better?

I don't play the lottery either; but think a million ought to be enough, with larger amounts for more people.

Re: Someone is rich

It is way to much money.
I do not play the lottery but I have read about numerous people who have won millions and it has ruined their lives.

Money is has greater value when you work hard earn it.

Re: Someone is rich

Some good points. I agree it is too much, but I would love that amount to make my family and friends secure financially.

I would have preferred to see 84 new millionaires than 1 multi millionaire.

I also suspect I am a bit jealous.
