Macron and our Border.

Hi

October 31st we leave, that's a given.

We have a totally separate agreement with the French.

Border Controls.

French Border Controls at Dover and UK Border Controls at Calais.

Nothing to do with us Leaving the EU.

The agreement can be terminated at six months notice.

It will cause us immense problems. Boris has called the French Turds.

Macron does not forget things, he will retaliate, big time.

He will shift the Border back, irrespective of what Merkle says, or the EU, just to prove a point.

That would be a big boost to him in French Politics.

We do not rule the roost.

I remember a time when there was a border between danmark and sweden. Custom controls were on board of the ferries. Why don't the french and english do the same?

Hi

Simply not an option because of the volume of Traffic.

Decades ago, six of us, Port Health, working Felixstowe and Ipswich.

Six meant 24 in total, working shifts, holidays, sickness etc.

Huge amounts of overtime as well when the weather was bad.

100% inspection regime in a secure area because of Rabies Control and crew sneaking in for free NHS Treatment.

We had Quarantine Bouys out at sea for any ship without the right paperwork.

We used to disinfect them out there and the Port Medical Officer would stop any crew member who required medical treatment without full insurance from landing.

That was Control of our Borders, now long gone.

That is not coming back.

The Boris plan is to abolish it all and let things through without any checks.

Good Luck with that, I want no part of it at all.

Why are you so scared of The French?

You know they like to strut around and posture, but at heart, they are gutless turds.

We'll manage just fine with their petty shamblings............don't be so feart !

Btw, your 'rule the roost' statement is plain wierd.....

We know you're a closet Remainer but you are doing a bad job of hiding it!

After all the human endeavour, we should just plug it, who knows how the political landscape may change in the not to distant future.

I think all of your exports by vehicle go through that tunnel? Are your ports capable to cover for that?
