My Apple Tree

My Golden Delicious tree - also bearing it's best crop ever. All my fruit trees have done exceptionally well this year except for my tomatoes.

Re: My Apple Tree

A great crop Alan I have just got back from walking Chloe to find a big bag of Howgate Wonder on my doorstep. My neighbour has a bumper crop of apples this year too.

The apple tree at my son's new house is covered too as are the 3 walnut trees with nuts. It seems to have been a good year for fruit and nuts.

Re: My Apple Tree

That's a great tree Alan, you must be so pleased.

We have moved into a new ( 1920's) house, there's an apple tree, it seems to have been there as long as my neighbour ( in her nineties) can recall.

Apparently, it used to have lovely cooking apples on it.... but all is blight and rotten fruit.

Now all I have done this year is cut the grass and tried to clear the borders a bit, as we have been doing a total renovation.

Chop down and burn, as Mr. Kite suggests?..... Or can it be saved?

Advice please if anyone has the time.

Re: My Apple Tree

Thanks AC for the advice., appreciate it... I guessed it probably had to go, but I do tend to get a bit sentimental about plants...

I will definitely put in a new one
