Immense respect does not pay the bills.

We had to borrow an ASW plane recently, from Sweden of all places.

Our Special Forces are buying their own footware.

Defence funding had always been the first to be sacrificed. I agree Swimmy, start to giving our troops who give their best, the best equipment to do it with.

Our defence forces should be concentrating on defending THIS country and NOT getting involved in anything outside our borders, especially doing ANYTHING supporting America or anything it gets gets up to. We should absolutely quit NATO. Other countries get in conflict? Their problem, not ours. Britain is a small offshore island trying to punch waay above its weight. Apart from anything else WE CANT AFFORD TO.
