Peeling garlic

Am I the only one who didn't know there was an easier way to peel garlic cloves? I just saw this on Anne with an E :

You're not alone ... it's new to me too.

It looks too good to be true.

Next thing ... anyone got any garlic in to try it out and report back ?

Re: Peeling garlic

I never peel it tbh. I use a garlic crusher. Good tip though.

Re: Peeling garlic

Looks simple enough, but how many of us need an entire head in one go?
I know I only use a couple of cloves at most usually.

Re: Peeling garlic

It depends on how 'green' (freshly grown or dried ) the garlic is .
Dry garlic.. place in a screw top jam jar and shake.
Green or dry.. place in a mug of boiling water for a moment to loosen the skin.

If I am only using a small amount I don't peel I just use a garlic press.
