Steve I would do it too, it can't do any harm and may even get you an interview .

YES YES YES, it shows initiative anything you can add to a CV go for, what can you lose.

Yes Steve matey, go for it - who knows a prospective employer may just see you and decide you're the one person S/he wants to employ. Good luck matey!!!

If you do go for it contact the local newspaper, prospective employer might see that too. All publicity is good publicity, makes you remembered.

I am moving this to a thread ....it has diverged slightly from "fuming" ...I am now undecided and confused on what to do ....aint life wonderful

why are you confused what can you lose?? you can only gain surely, it can only help. Take the bull by the horns and Go For It.
