Absolutely - However, at no time in British History has Britain been subject to such huge numbers of immigrants as in recent years. Considering that we are by far the most crowded nation within the EU, it is time to call a halt.

Wales has experienced it since 1284 - English immigrants - but then the Welsh don't count, the real Welsh are swamped by the Anglo-Welsh whose ancestors emigrated here. But who cares ? Certainly not the English.

On the contrary, many of us English would be very happy to see the four British nations as sovereign countries with their own laws and parliaments. I think the treatment of Wales, Ireland and Scotland by British governments has been appalling over the centuries.

Re: Swarm

I am not a fan of Cameron but surely this complaint about his use of the word swarm is just someone looking for something to complain about. He cannot be too bad if that is the worst thing that they can find.

Re: Swarm

I can't see a problem at all with the word Swarm, to me its just a normal word that people would use, it could have been worse, he could have said a Flock of Migrants.

Watching the news this morning I don't know what else you could call it, it's getting scary! No one seems to be getting the message across that Britain is not the land of milk and honey!

I doubt it will get across - the message will be free hotel and food and £35 a week

Re: Swarm

Hi TessA
It might not be the land of milk and honey for the likes of you and me, but we are British. As Patsy says they are being put up free of charge in a hotel and given £35 per week pocket money, if they make it here..

Also the French seem to be suggesting that if we complain too much about the way they are policing the terminals there, they will open the border and let them all through.
