Re: Suspected gas explosion

The son of a landlord said that a new boiler had recently been fitted to a house, no details though.

Re: Suspected gas explosion

Conjecture on the news this morning is that the explosion was linked to an earlier 'domestic' incident at the house and the man in hospital is the 'partner' of the woman whose child was killed in the explosion. If this was a deliberate attack, whoever was responsible needs to banged up in prison for the remainder of their life.

Re: Suspected gas explosion

Such a terrible time now for this little boys mother, it's good she has family to look after her. RIP little Jamie.

At a time like this, it's good to see how people have rallied round. Local shops and people have been donating items of clothing and food for the people who cannot get into there homes.

If this was not a gas explosion. They should throw the book at, the person who is to blame.

Re: Suspected gas explosion

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of the little boy Jamie who died in this tragedy, and also to those who have lost their homes.

It is wonderful how people come together at times like these. On the local news this evening, toys, clothes, toiletries etc. were being taken to those in need, even from as far away as Wales.

Re: Suspected gas explosion

I was watching the news tonight with all the pontificating and posturing about the evil banks and whose done what to whom and why, whilst sinking slowly into the quagmire of terminal ennui.
My senses returned when the local news came on, the parents of the little lad Jamie visited their destroyed street today and stopped to look at all the tributes left for their son.
To see the sheer agony etched on their faces made everything else irrelevant and unimportant.
A cruel world.

RIP lad
