I agree with people who object to certain Americanisms. Over here, "Ya know" is often used 3 or 4 times in a single sentence. Once, that expression was used almost exclusively by a minority group. BUT, now television programing is geared for the lowest common denominator and "Ya know" has become an extremely irritating expression. Ya know ?
