Re: Do You Think Posting On A Forum, Is Good For Your Brain?

Yes it is good for the brain, and in fact good for the whole person.
Excuse me for being a little indelicate, but a forum post is in most cases very much like a fart.
Some are louder than others, some a little bit sneaky, and some positively smelly, but you just have to get them out.
You always feel better for letting rip,of course other around you may not.
Problem is when you encounter those who are overly fond of their own voice!

I think so overall. I love quiz shows and often answer questions about things I have seen discussed on here. If something went in and stayed in, that's good in my opinion. I'm just waiting for a Mastermind question about drying knickers on a radiator. Perhaps I should make it my specialist subject.

Winty, l’d say you were well and truly inspired there, with your unusual comparisons!

Re: Do You Think Posting On A Forum, Is Good For Your Brain?

It's certainly improved my spelling and punctuation Arty, but it depends how you use the forum. Some people just like to read the posts and don't post themselves, others like to post information from research they are interested in, just a 'Good Morning' or 'Goodnight' from some posters.

I've found that it prompts you to search out information perhaps while on holiday or walking in an interesting landscape, so you can start a topic describing your adventures, I suspect more people read them than reply to them though. I don't mind, I just love writing them.....

And finally, I live in hopes that someday I might just be able to put faces to Avatars who I have conversed with over the years. The members on here are just the modern version of 'Pen Pal's'....

Oh, it sure has tried to blow my brain to bits, many times; however, I haven't got a lot of brain left at this stage of the game, so I just have to hang on with my teeth, real tight, so I don't tumble off before I am ready...and I will be ready one of these days....then I will take a giant step into the land of cream and honey, and join the forum in the sky....I'll straighten those folks out up there......they have no idea what they are talking about....................

Yes Art, I think it is good for the brain, it makes you think all the time, especially if you are playing games, stops you from getting Dementia.
