Bodium Castle

for those interest note the small bush bottom right which gives a little depth to the photo

Today was one of those rare times with nobody about and the air was so clear you would almost call it sharp

Sun on the back of the castle

That was on a TV program, a week or so ago. It's a beautiful castle.

We have a lot of castles along this part of the south coast, they were the first defence against the European invaders. So consequently there are a few very near where I live. Battle Abbey is also very close (Battle of Hastings ) also another famous building.

I suppose the nearest place to you in Australia is the local bar 300 miles away

I know, I grew up in Folkestone and worked under (literally) Dover Castle for a while. It was built by European Invaders to keep the pommies behaving themselves.

There is a Leagues Club and a pub just two blocks away from my house.

Re: Bodium Castle

One of my three most liked castles, others being Corfe and Arundel. Spent many happy hours as a child visiting them all.
