I was saying ........ I'm sticking with my notion that they've got to get everything sold before the cops come to confiscate the lot and return everything to the rightful owners.

If you sell something at auction you should put a reserve price on the goods, so it won't go for less than you are prepare to accept!

Most auction houses do accept a reserve price put on goods you are selling, some charge a fee for this, but a few don't allow reserves.
At all the auctions I've attended the auctioneer has been easy to understand, no fast gibberish at all.
