My son divorced us, our family and friends about 18 months ago at the tender age of 21. He was a calm and loving person and lord only knows why he turned. We can only hope that weirdo's don't take advantage of his vulnerable state of mind.

Re: Explosion at Manchester Arena

That's a tad different. ......we all know that parents have a massive influence over our thoughts and beliefs.........some of us believe in sky fairies. ....that's not exactly sane.

Re: Explosion at Manchester Arena

Although I was brought up a RC my parents never really mentioned God.
It was all about going to Mass on Sunday and catholic schools but God wasn't discussed at all.

Many. My mother was Welsh presbyterian and my father was a lapsed Catholic and I attended a strict RC secondary school. I came to the conclusion that attending mass had bugger all to do with "faith" and everything to do with control. Most of my religious discussions took place between my parents and my friends.

Re: Explosion at Manchester Arena

Don't know about you, but I respect everyone who's belief involves accepting "que sera, sera", regardless of denomination or atheism. I hope there's a god and an eternal existence for the sake of peace of mind and re-acquaintining myself with those I have loved in my life as well as those I'd like to have met and hope to meet. But, if there's no such thing, then ultimately it matters not. In the meantime, one cannot but try to harm as few people as possible in the hope that they don't harm us nor those we care for, nor indeed those who want to harm few others.
