I am not surprised that a 2.1 kiloton strike near a USA Military Base was kept quiet.

It would have had every survivalist prepper and lunatic heading for the bunkers.

and indeed it would seem there was a strike on the 25th July of that energy

Any idea if the BBC have said if the Perseid meteor shower is happening at the weekend? I don't want to be staying up late to see it, only to find that it has been cancelled due to the BBC not covering it and therefore lacking credibility

I heard something about it, I think. Not that I will be awake to see it I hope.
