When ITV took it over the essence was killed, for the first couple of episodes under the BBC, the contestants were wheeled in and out rapido and, that's the way it should be after all, it is the voice, when ITV took over, you got back stories, just like X Factor, before any note was sung, what a sell out.

And not adverts after every couple of acts. ITV ruined it by turning it into an XFactor style show.
I can't stand Tom Jones either, so full of himself!
