Radio

I like to listen to the radio when I can't sleep.
Do you know a station that has chat/discussions through the night, as well as music? - Nothing too serious!

Re: Radio

Carol I listen to radio 4 the world service during the night, they have some very interesting topics
I have tinnitus which is really bad some nights.Having the radio on drowns out the buzzings in my ear and helps to take my mind off it allowing me to fall asleep.

Re: Radio

LBC Carol, Leading Britains Conversations, can be heavy at times. Radio 4 Ex, has a mix of Drama, Comedys, a good mix, some history etc it might suit more.

Re: Radio

If you're a serious radio listener like me, why not splash out on a DAB radio with built-in digital recorder? Pure do one, and mine is in use all the time. You can plan ahead for a week, and set the timer (just a click as on a TV recorder) to record all the programmes you like to listen to. Then just play them back any time you choose. Recordings go to an SD card, and can just be erased when no longer needed. Or you could use a laptop or tablet to use the replay web-sites to 'listen again'.

Don't forget the Internet, you could listen to ABC Local Radio 702 Sydney mostly chat ranging from light to Current Affairs Not only that its the day time here while you are sleeping.

These days most broadcasters round the world stream live on the Internet - pick a country you are interested in and try it. Its a big world out there.

Re: Radio

As Bruce has stated many of the radio stations mentioned produce podcasts, also plays, books, etc online so you could build a collection of these handy for the times you need them.
