SAMSON - Is this true ? !

A question on a quiz was this
An Angel came to whose Mother and said ......
None should take a 'razor' to his head'
The answer being 'Samson'
How can this be right - they didn't have razors then - and if they did - he (Samson) should have bought the company !!

Maybe that's where the term 'hothead' came from

I'm no expert but they certainly had metal in those days so why not sharp pieces of metal ?

They wouldn't have had safety razors but they could have had their equivalent to cut-throat razors.

Re: SAMSON - Is this true ? !

There is a message there somewhere, never let a woman near your head with a sharp object?
I have often wondered how they shaved in those days too, you need a very sharp edge to shave, they had metal alright but not steel, iron does not keep an edge for long especially if its as thin as you need to shave, the old cut-throat razors our grandfathers had were good quality steel and they were prized and cherished by their owners, although they must have come up with something when the Romans came along because even the lowest ranking soldier is clean shaven, well the Hollywood Romans anyway.
Maybe they did what Desperate Dan did and got rid of the hair with a blowtorch.
