I bought one similar to this and have had a couple in the past. So much quicker. You might be able to get cheaper ones from b&q or other places.

That looks interesting

As a child, my dad had a Black and Decker circular saw attachment !!! eeeeeeek ... very scary and I think not good

In those days 'health and safety' was not an issue.

The Jig Saw (now that I'm not terrified of it) is pretty useful.
