I noticed during the lockdown when l was driving to the supermarket, how cheeky cyclists had become.
It was like they were now King of the Road, and could dominate the width of the road. This was done by nonchalantly taking up most of it and not caring a damn about cars being stuck behind them.

Saying that, some pedestrians were just as bad, just walking across the road in front of you, as they had become accustomed to vehicle free roads.

So cyclists are getting £50? Oh, this must be compensation for the inconvenience they are suffering, now that vehicles are again dominating the roads.

Oh wait.....Something is not quite right here? How much road tax do cyclists pay to warrant this reward?

It is about being fit enough to survive a disease, nothing more nothing less, it might be a bit late for some folks who could not be arsed (sore arsed maybe) early on.

The same amount as pedestrians pay for pavements. I.e - taxes are not hypothecated.

In any case, cars cause more wear and tear on roads and create more pollution. Anything that mitigates this seems a reasonable idea.

So l take it, you ride a bicycle?

Pedestrians walk, they aren’t on two wheels! Oh and they don’t jump traffic lights either!
