Careline and Falling at home

As part of planned cost cutting measures. Pensioners who pay already £260.00 a year for a Careline scheme will now have to pay a £26 call-out fee if they need help getting to their feet after a fall.

Other Councils will surely follow this cost cutting measure and it is wrong on so many levels

My sister has this system, they don't go to see what's wrong with her, they ring my daughter who lives nearby and ask her to do it.
As my daughter works and my sister is usually drunk she refuses.

One of my clients has the system and she has listed her nieghbour and myself as contact persons. She has no family and so she had no one else to ask..

Hi

Totally agree with you UJ.

Appalling, let us hope that it is voted down.

All it needs is for the UKIP Councillors and a couple of others to vote against it and problem solved.

Whoever proposed this should be sacked in my view.

UJ , you never cease to confirm my view that your only purpose in life is to scan the 'Morning Star' for any piece of mud to sling at the government.
No doubt if they said they were giving everyone a million pounds, you would fins a reason to criticise that too.
