Re: Got to have one of these.

I think I'd be going one way and this wheel thing would go the other! Would have been great when I was younger, used to live on my roller skates, went everywhere on them including up and down stairs..

I wouldn't mind one of those. Saw a girl gliding around Morrisons on one recently. I managed the Segway (the grown up version) but that did have a handle to hang onto.

First time on it. I was using the hiking stick for support at first. I did not need it later.

OMG
I need a lie down. I've never heard of them before and just googled them.
They can reach a speed of 13mph.

I find it difficult enough now on the pavements as it is with pushchairs and mobility scooters.

Re: Got to have one of these.

I see youngsters using them here but definitely not for me, I donīt want any more nuts and bolts holding me together. I could never manage roller skates either, I couldnīt even stand up on them.

Ah, that brings back memories
Roller skates, space hoppers and walking on stilts.

Re: Got to have one of these.

These things are much easier than roller, ice, skates.
They have an inbuilt stability from gyros. They are controlled by weight shift.
I found it so easy once I learnt to control my balance on it.
