He has misread the voters, who do not want either of these things.
We still have the much awaited Chilcot report into the Iraq war due out this summer, that could have an effect on voters particularly if Cameron loses the 'yes' vote and calls an election after the referendum .

I don't dislike Boris Johnson , I think there is a very astute man behind the bumbling facade .

I am delighted he has joined the 'out' campaign, it must have been a difficult decision to oppose his close friend.

There are no good reasons to stay in. I opposed joining the Common Market in 1973 (and voted against it in 1975) because it was clear even then that the EU was designed to be a federalist state specifically designed to make it easier for the corporate rich to exploit the working classes of member countries. Back in 1973, most of the Labour Party (in those days it still contained some socialists) were rightly opposed to the Common Market. Unfortunately most of them have now been seduced by faux internationalism and identity politics and have forgotten the reason why their party exists - and in that I include the ultra-liberal Corbyn.

I've met Boris Johnson and you are right - he has a very astute brain. He also comes across as a likeable fellow. I didn't like the idea of a Tory Mayor of London, but it has to be said he has been an improvement on Livingstone and his multi-cultural cronyism - as corrupt a politician as we have seen.

Re: Boris says NO !

Who's slating my friend Boris? The man is an absolute genius. He must have obviously had his nose a little put out when Michael Gove beat him to the punch by announcing which side he was backing before him - and of course stealing his taking centre stage as the first big gun from the cabinet to defect. buy hey! plenty of time yet Winston, I mean Boris.

Nothing, not even the lure of Vichy Dave's offer of a plum Ministerial post of Home Secretary could persuade our Boris to change his mind!

Got news for you Dave, you'll have to do better than that, now is the time to start sweating because Boris doesn't want just any old job you know, This Churchillian superhero has only only one job in mind - Yours! Yeh, go Boris!

No genius involved here...the man is just an opportunist check his political history.
He saw an opportunity to throw his hat into the political ring once again and gain maximum publicity by it ... and did it !
