Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)
Dry here at the moment thank goodness. Jac had an eye test last week and everything as fine but decided on new glasses. Yes it was great to meet up with Ade last week, especially after all she has been through, it was also great meeting up with all the others again.Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)
Had a rotten night's sleep and then when I woke, looked at the clock, thought it said 7.40 am - shot out of bed and when I looked at the clock again in the bathroom realised it was 5.20 ! (Think about it). Went back to bed....Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)
Bit better today thanks Nimby but I cancelled my follow-up knee apt in Morriston Hospital today . Not very important and didn't feel like driving so made another one for next month and will work out the bus route just in caseRe: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)
Rob's birthday lunch was grand. Vanessa came up from Devon and we went for a lovely drive over the hill afterwards. Went with the Craft Club for afternoon tea at Gliffaes Manor Hotel (near Crickhowell). Lovely tea and beautiful gardens to wander in. Rhododendrons were still out, but the wisteria had gone over, and most of the azaleas. So many lovely mature trees though, it was quite something. Realized that we don't have many large trees in our valley - probably something to do with the fact that we are 900 ft. above sea level and the wind funnels down here like a wind tunnel.Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)
Where are you off to this time Nimby? Yesterday was so lovely here that I was thinking "Who needs to go on holiday when Wales looks like this?" Today I can hardly see the other side of the valley, there is a thick mist/drizzle? We have to wait in for the wheelchair engineer today, so no shopping trip. If he turns up this morning we'll go out to lunch, otherwise it's a stay-at-home day.
