Actually this is wholly incorrect.
We HAVE had a constitution for 100s of years. The BRITISH CONSTITUTION. It may not be nicely written down in one huge document, but it DOES exist. It comprises the great constitutional elements put in place years ago like the Magna Carta.
It includes:
COMMON LAW
The DECLARATION OF RIGHTS
The BILL OF RIGHTS
The FIRST STATUTE OF WESTMINSTER
The CORONATION OATH
These are laws and rights put in place to PROTECT THE PEOPLE from tyrants and usurpers.
Unfortunately over a period of some 40 years a group of tyrants have, by pure stealth, underhand tactics, and fraud, ridden roughshod over those important constitutional elements and sold the UK down the river into the EU.
Those were and remain acts of pure treason, for which the various politicians and prime ministers and the plethora of other "Common Purpose" stooges should be held accountable, each on put on trial for treason.
The Declaration and Bill of Rights, as an example, state clearly that:
"no foreign prince, person, prelate, state, or potentate hath, or ought to have, any jurisdiction, power, superiority, pre-eminence, or authority, ecclesiastical or spiritual, within this realm"
It was and remains therefore wholly unconstitutional to draft and agree each of the EU Treaties which have effectively handed the UK over into the controlling hands of the EU, a foreign state.
To restore the balance and respect and uphold the British Constitution we clearly have to:
1) Leave the EU
2) Repeal each of the EU Treaties
3) Restore the British Constitution
4) Put on trial all the UK traitors who took us fraudulently into the EU in the first place
5) Establish laws to ensure that no politician or prime minister can ever again run roughshod over the British Constitution.
The Declaration/Bill of Rights also stated that citizens have the following rights:
• The right to bear arms
• The right to petition the Sovereign
• Free men cannot be imprisoned without cause
• The Government cannot arrest any man because he disagrees with the Government’s policies
• Habeas corpus is not to be denied
• No person will be compelled to make loans to the King, and there will be no tax without the approval of Parliament
• Soldiers and sailors will not be billeted on civilians
• Government will not impose martial law during peacetime
Sadly all of the above are now threatened by the emerging EU Federal State.
In particular the virtually sacred (and assumed/expected by millions of UK citizens) principle of "INNOCENT UNTIL PROVED GUILTY" (
Habeus Corpus) is already under threat.
The EU federalists have been trying to bring in
Corpus Juris which is the exact opposite. Corpus Juris is "Guilty until/unless you can prove your innocence".
The EU State Police thus have the power to sieze anyone off the street for whatever reason and detain them for months, sometimes years WITHOUT any solid evidence and without trial. It falls to the hapless victim to then try to prove their innocence which is pretty difficult whilst held in a cell !
This kind of totalitarian nonsense is a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER to freedom, democracy and the life that most UK people take for granted.
If we stay in the EU, all will be lost. We will be absorbed into a totalitarian 1984 Orwellian distopian state where it will be illegal to question the ruling body and where citizens have little to no rights.
We must LEAVE and restore the British Constitution which has existed for 100s of years.
