jealousy

Isn't it strange how people easily get jealous of those that have or better at than or grow bigger veg etc.

This seems to rear its head up quite a lot in my hobby photography, I don't know about other interests but i suspect it is the same.

Around here as soon as one household has a new car several others follow suit.
I think if your basically happy with life then jealousy has no part to play.

Re: jealousy

What if you assembled 10 random folk, took them to view you neighbours lawn, and, they all agreed the grass was greener than yours, how would you feel?

Re: jealousy

This sort of thing doesn't bother me, I couldn't care less what a neighbour or anyone else has.
I don't think I have ever in my life, bought something just because someone else has.

We can always go on wanting more, but wanting and needing are two very different things.

Sue hadn't been over our lawn with the lawn mower when they looked. Don't bother me the squirrel enjoy digging holes in ours anyway

Moi aussi!
But then I've never had neighbours called Jones.

Re: jealousy

In some cases it’s not necessarily your friend, neighbour etc getting jealous, it’s the person who is “seeing” the jealousy actually showing off...

Re: jealousy

Maybe it is more related to age, jealousy. As you get older, say retired as we are, then things don't bother you so much as to someone having better bigger newer

We for example only got a new lawn mower because the old petrol one had stopped working and cost too much to repair
